Layering doesn't have to just be for warmth, but an opportunity to play with different patterns and textures. Since plaid and stripes are both strong patterns, I opted for a matching color scheme so the look isn't too loud. There photos were taken at one of my favorite new restaurants, Westward (food post coming soon). The weather was gorgeous but chilly, ideal for sitting around the outdoor fire pit with a view of the water and city skyline. How can I get a backyard with this sweet setup?

Love the different textures and pattern play in this look. I agree, layering is fun and gives you a chance to play around with different pieces, making them look new. Pretty location!
