A Quick Guide to Las Vegas

Let me preface this "guide" by saying that the last time I was in Vegas, I just turned 21 and spent my days (and nights) rather differently. If you're looking for a quintessential Hangover-style time, my suggestions would be more along the lines of beach clubs that blur into bodycon dresses at XS and $3.99 steak and eggs at 4am.

However, I'm definitely in another life phase right now haha. One that is more into what is below:

Stay:

Wynn Hotel - we stayed at the Encore suites, which was fun and relaxing to lounge in. I recommend it if you want to be at the end of the Strip, removed from some of the craziness.

Eat:

Left: Terrace Pointe Cafe - had the best shrimp, crab, and lobster BLT on furikake brioche!
Right: Bouchon Bakery - morning fuel of coffee and pastries.

Left: Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak, and Stone Crab - get the stone crab (of course).
Right: Tableau - generous lobster salad with a side of fries, and Husband's most decadent filet mignon blue crab eggs benedict (not pictured).

Yardbird - vodka iced tea, fried green tomato BLT with pork belly, and the fried chicken with cheddar waffle and spiced watermelon. My favorite meal in Vegas!

CUT - bone marrow flan for starters, then Husband had the ribeye while I had the American wagyu New York with sides of mushroom and shishito peppers.

Do:

Walked around our hotel, the Strip, the Forum Shops at Caesar's, and the Grand Canal Shoppes in the Venetian.

Left: The House always wins... I "won" 5 cents! And lost the rest of my monies at the Michael Jackson slot machine lol.
Right: Soaking the gambling loss away with a cherry blossom bath bomb from Basin.

Left: Le Rêve - truly a dream of a show with acrobats, synchronized swimmers, dancers, and divers. (Though I think Cirque du Soleil's O at Bellagio is still my favorite show.)
Right: All-you-can-drink in a 30-minute ride on the High Roller ferris wheel.

Airplane essentials: water, big tote, scarf to serve as a wrap, and a comfy tee and knit. Until next time, Vegas!
