European Honeymoon [8 of 9]: Amsterdam

Photography by Miguel Marino

Amsterdam in the Netherlands was the 8th city in our European honeymoon. In retrospect, Husband and I think we should have ended the trip before this city at about the 3-week mark. Even though we loved Amsterdam and London (last city of our trip), we were physically tired and unable to attack the cities as much as we'd like to. Plus we got food poisoning on the first day there, weirdly from a highly rated wagyu burger. Anyway, we still made the best of it, but I can't wait to return -- perhaps this summer during our northern European trip! Amsterdam has such charming architecture, canals, chic boutiques, and amazing Dutch apple pie, of course.

Destinations before: ParisBarcelonaVeniceMilanAthens, Santorini (Part 1 and Part 2), and Cinque Terre (Part 1 and Part 2). Next: London!

  6. Amsterdam is such a beautiful city - and one I'd definitely like to have a chance to explore more. What a shame you got food poisoning while you were there and didn't get to enjoy it fully, but you still got some great photos. I love that lavendar bike! So cute.
