Working from Home on Sunday

As a high school English teacher, work rarely stays at work. Thankfully, I love what I do, and this weekend, I was rereading All the Pretty Horses by Cormac McCarthy to prep for my AP Literature classes' next unit (we just finished William Shakespeare's Hamlet). When I'm at home, I'm always in my lounging uniform: Lululemon tights, Forever 21 sweatshirt tunic, and Céline glasses.

My favorite place in the house to hang out is on the couch in front of the fireplace snuggled under this Pendleton wool blanket. Of course, I've got to have coffee for fuel.

Our Christmas tree is still pretty bare, but Husband and I buy an ornament for each other every year, so it'll be fun to see our tree decades from now! This year, Husband got me this adorable #1 Teacher ornament. I stuffed these Helliemae's salted caramels in Husband's stocking (for like a second before we took them out, otherwise they would melt in front of the fireplace). We got our monogrammed stockings at Pottery Barn Kids.

I wear contacts everyday but like to give my eyes a break on the weekends -- I'm loving my new Céline glasses via SmartBuyGlasses.com. They're so chic, I might have to wear glasses more often!

If you need an idea for a thoughtful gift, I just customized this cute notebook for myself for work from Minted.com and made a few for my girlfriends as presents.
