One of the destinations on our northeast coast road trip was Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Being from the west coast of the United States, I was charmed by the "old" brick buildings in the east coast, some that are hundreds of years old. During the day, I explored the town in this outfit, which was easy and comfortable, even though wearing overalls still makes me feel prepubescent.
Like many of the small waterfront towns, Portsmouth was walkable and bustling with activity, with lots of restaurants, bars, and ice cream shops right by the water. It goes without saying that the seafood here is also incredible. We tried New England steamer clams for the first time and can't believe we've lived this long without them (and we ended up ordering them three more times throughout the trip!).
